About This Event
The Department of Botany, BCM College, invites school and college students to participate in the RENOVA – Upcycle Waste Competition. This event aims to promote environmental awareness, creativity, and sustainable living by transforming waste materials into useful or decorative products. Participants are encouraged to use eco-friendly ideas and highlight the importance of reducing waste and conserving natural resources. The competition provides a platform to showcase innovation while reinforcing the role of plants, nature, and sustainability in everyday life.
Rules & Regulations
- The competition is open to school and college students
- Only waste or discarded materials should be used; no new materials are allowed
- The product must be eco-friendly and safe to handle
- Each participant/team may submit only one entry
- The item should be prepared in advance and brought to the venue
- Participants must briefly explain the concept and materials used
- Judging will be based on creativity, utility, innovation, and environmental relevance
- Any form of plagiarism or use of ready-made items will lead to disqualification
- The decision of the judges will be final
